Basics of the faith
What Orthodox Christians Believe
A summary of the faith according to the Creed.
God is Trinity
Orthodox Christians believe in one God in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Son of God became incarnate of the Virgin Mary, suffered, rose and will come to judge the living and the dead.
The Church and salvation
The Church is the Body of Christ, in which a person is united with God through the sacraments. The aim of life is deification, participation in divine grace.
Sources of the faith
Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition (the decisions of the Councils, worship, the writings of the Fathers) form a single whole.
