For the departed

# Prayer for the departed

Give rest, O Lord, to the souls of Thy departed servants: my parents, kinsfolk, benefactors (names) and all Orthodox Christians, and forgive them all their sins, voluntary and involuntary, and grant them the Kingdom of Heaven.

## Explanation

From the morning rule; also read on memorial Saturdays.
