# The Divine Liturgy

The principal service of the Church and its structure.

## Structure

The Liturgy consists of the Proskomedia (preparation of the Gifts), the Liturgy of the Catechumens (antiphons, the Little Entrance, the Epistle and Gospel) and the Liturgy of the Faithful (the Great Entrance, the Creed, the Eucharistic canon, the Lord's Prayer, Communion).

## Rites

The Liturgy of St John Chrysostom is celebrated most often; ten times a year the Liturgy of St Basil the Great; on weekdays of Great Lent the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.
